Hey. hey, hey friends!

First things first y'all, thank you for stopping by my little section of the internet. I'm so glad you're here! Also, this is my first blog post... EVER. So bare with me here. ;)

If you haven't reached the about section on my website yet, I'll introduce myself real quick. My name is Jenny, I am a stay at home/work from home lifestyle photographer momma x2 based out of Whitecourt, Alberta in the great white north! Extra emphasis on the white north part as it is currently snowing and a whopping -29 degrees Celsius outside. (Feels like -42 degrees.) AKA staying inside sipping too much coffee kinda day. #whydoilivewheretheairhurtsmyface

My hopes for this little blog is to grow slowly with some (hopefully) meaningful content. I'm really wanting to share my passions in life with anyone who cares to read it. I'll be sharing some of my favourite sessions with you, D.I.Y projects, home renos and giving you a little inside peak at our everyday family life.

These are my people.

Josh. Together 9 years, engaged for 5. Married? Check back next year.

Arya. Almost 6. Kind, sweet, wild, energetic & hilarious.

Fynn. Almost 2. Heart warrior, cuddler, sweet, snotty nosed & hockey obsessed.

Me. Jenny. Photographer, obviously. Lover of coffee, creating & a good DIY.

We are total homebodies.

You'll often find us jamming out to some George Ezra, sharing a good cold plate & checking out all the pretty lights from our well placed disco balls. (on sunny days of course!)

I never thought I would be work from home mom. But for now that's right where I want to be. Miss Arya started kindergarten full-time this year & life feels like its going pretty darn fast. I feel like if I blink I may miss something...

I get most of my work done at my kitchen table. Weird? I have an office and studio in my basement, but I always find myself back in the kitchen. I've noticed that the weather plays a huge roll in my moods, especially in the winter time. I can become very unmotivated if its cold and dreary outside. Anyone else? Just me?

I found some little disco balls at our local dollar store before Christmas time, and man have they been a game changer! Fynn is absolutely obsessed with them. He starts yelling "PPPRREEEETTTTTTTYYYY" as soon as the first light starts shining through the back door. Obviously my strange obsession with disco balls is having some type of positive effect on the kids, right? hahaha. How can you not love little specks of light glowing up your house?!

Anyways, disco balls aside. Check back here to follow along our journey. I hope to see you all along for the ride.

Thanks for reading!

Stay warm,

-jenny xo
